#30 – Shards

I was thinking recently how I liked cold pizza and wondered if there were some people that only like their pizza cold. That must be a frustrating amount of waiting. Cook the pizza, let it cool down, then put it in the refrigerator to chill. I wonder if there is a gourmet pizza place that offers chilled pizza by the slice. Might be a great summer meal.

Ugh, I HATE cold pizza, I’ll take my compilation of bread, tomato guts ground into a sauce, and cheese at a tempature warm enough to make it bubble thank you very much.

    I’m with Zeldadude.
Also I don’t know about deliberately selling cold pizza, but here they sell pizza cones, where they deliberately roll the pizza up and sell it that way. Bleh.

I have a friend who liked cooked, but cold pizza.

The trick is to make it before bed, stick it in the fridge, and eat it for breakfast.

30 Rock, “Into The Crevasse”, *the* foremost cold/hot pizza argument of all time, OF ALL TIME!

I thought I was alone in this

I like pizza that’s room temperature. Once it actually gets refrigerator cold, I don’t like it. (I eat hot pizza, too, of course. :-))

  7. unrikk says:

We actually ordered a cold pizza once. Told them to put it in their walk-in freezer for a half hour. They delivered it 20 minutes later and we called in and complained about getting a hot pizza.

    1. FeRD says:

That’s the problem with pizza ordering. LACK of sarcasm doesn’t translate, because they’ve heard every type of bitchiness there is.

  8. kingklash says:

When I get pizza, I’ll put aside a couple slices in the fridge for breakfast. Sometimes I’ll top ’em with a fried egg.

  9. mynameis832 says:

I like either hot pizza, or pizza that is warm on the outside but chilled on the inside, such as what happens when you reheat it in the toaster for not long enough.

  10. Mister Rik says:

Hot Pizza and Cold Pizza are two completely different pleasures.

@unrikk – Alas, fulfilling your request would have most likely caused the pizza place to commit a health code violation.

  11. Kree says:

Pizza should only be consumed when it’s just barely too hot to eat properly. The cheese should be at least somewhat molten.

When I was a kid, I’d sometimes go with my mom to work and hang out in her break room (I actually thought this was fun). One morning, one of her co-workers showed up with a pizza for me because he insisted that I told him, last time I was there, that I loved cold pizza. I did not remember ever meeting this guy, nor ever even thinking I liked cold pizza. This kind of thing actually happens a lot to me, where people think they recognize me. I even had some lady hug me because she thought I was someone else. Either I have a twin out there, or people are jerks and all us Asians look exactly the same.

    1. Flargon says:

Maybe you have a split personality. If lots of people recognize you as someone else, and you don’t know them, it is a distinct possibility. Split personalities often have different dis/likes than their hosts, so maybe s/he likes cold pizza (yes they can be different genders, also, different ages). I’d say you could have a twin/doppelganger hanging around, but your mother’s co-worker recognized you, and the conversation you never had, from the break room.

Not with pizza for me, but definitely pie. When my roommate makes us all our own pumpkin pies, I either have to wait impatiently while my roomates enjoy theirs and mine cools in the fridge (which often turns into the next day), or eat it warm and not enjoy it as much.
