They work for any/all of the seats with a window regardless of how old or new the car is. They are also generally cheap enough to replace with the next model (or same model if they break, they are cheap for a reason) without breaking the bank. The only problem is finding which superstore, discount store, or dollar store is currently stocking them (note that they are rarely if ever found in automotive stores). Also, remember to remove them temporarily if you are going to roll up/down the window. So, if cup sizes go up, I can just take a saw or sharp knife and customize.
