The best is when your long lost friend is the cashier. Not only is it impossible to make a quick exit but they get to handle all your stuff and question you about it.
“So… I see you are really into cheese now.”
why i dont choose long term friends, myn know, by the time i see them again, i forgot their name.
And if you want to get rid of them, lend them money.
I quit lending them money. I give it to them if I have any. If it ever comes back, that’s a plus. I explain that when I do it. (Of course, it’s been a while, but the idea’s still alive…)
I do keep a buck handy for the local panhandlers, once a week or so when I see them. And if I can’t, I’ll look ‘em in the eye and tell ‘em “Sorry, bro, can’t today!”
A good way to avoid that is to move about every 5 years and at least 100 miles. Works for me.
Every single time! XD
