One of the small upsides to the drought in my area this year is the relative lack of mosquitoes. The usual clouds of them just aren’t around this year. I’m used to constantly swinging my arms around like a lunatic when I take the dog for a walk. Now a single bug appearing is a rarity.

The mosquitos at the camping spot I go to almost every year seem immune to bug repellent. Now I know why.
Here, we’re at the point in the summer where I think the reason the mosquitos are scarce is that they combust in mid-air. Like tiny, bloodthirsty popcorn.
Flamethrower. Best insect repellant there is.
