#222 – Crumbs

It’s funny how our baby can sleep through most sounds. He’ll sleep right through any TV show that doesn’t feature explosions. If I try and have a conversation with my wife however, all bets are off. Our voices are the one thing that he can’t ignore.

Enjoy the moment while it lasts. When the kid starts on solids, your food will not be safe. My little brother has had a taste for jalapenos ever since he was a kid, having eaten off of our mother’s plate when he was a toddler.

The secret is to put the chip in your mouth and wait for it to soften, and then masticate and swallow it. It is disgusting.

I have a theory that the part of the brain that understands language, has to take the brain out of “sleep mode” to work… so noise can be slept through.. but language, wakes up babies.

Don’t talk around babies that are drowsy.
