#270 – Vat

Whenever I have some sort of intestinal problems I get mad at food. I wish there was an alternative way to sustain myself. Perhaps a special rock that I licked once a day.

If you sleep late, will others call you a glutton?

A snack on the go would be an adult diaper soaked in slime.

If only Wonka would hurry up and finish his three-course meal gum. Geez, I’ve been waiting for that for years. Lazy oaf.

I was always miserable because of my constant, um, problems. One day this past summer I developed a dental infection and the antibiotics, I was warned, would screw up things further as it’d wipe out the bacteria, good and bad, in my intestinal track. I was advised to start eating Chobani and begin probiotic therapy as a remedy.

Now I have food allergies and sensitivities, so I must always be careful, but after eating Chobani twice a day and taking probiotic supplements also twice daily…for the most part a great deal of my lifelong issues with..uh…this have suddenly disappeared or become manageable. What a relief to be free from pain.

But as for this, through our skin…what goes IN still has to go OUT at some point and if we’re still swimming in that slime….urp.

People in India (I’m told) consider it an honor to make the pilgrimage to swim in the Ganges, sort of a living soup.
As W.C. Fields was quoted, “Drink water? Do you know what fish DO in water?!”

        1. Rhiakath says:

They also consider perfectly natural to leave their dead loved ones floating on the Ganges….
On several documentaries about India, they’ve shown people bathing there, ritually, with the greatest honor, while a few corpses pass by.

          Different mentalities, i guess…

In Gene Wolfe’s The Book of the New Sun, at one point the main character encounters a human from the future that’s been caught and kept as a freak in a carnival. He’s green, because he’s from a time when we have a symbiotic relationship with microscopic plants living in our bodies that, so long as they get sunlight and water, feed our bodies and live off our waste, so we don’t eat or poop anymore.
