#174 – Crunch

I do have issues with eating too much of something just because of momentum. If I limit my portion from the beginning it’s much easier to stop there and not go back for more. Going back for more would require standing. We can’t have that now.

  1. This all goes awry when you bring dips into the equation, because then I have to eat enough chips to use up whatever amount of dip I have in my bowl.

I have opened a new bag of chips, all in the name of not wasting that delicious, delicious dip.

And then, when you run out of dip but still have chips left you have to get more dip. It could go on all night before you simultaneously empty the chip and the dip bowls.

Well, the other limiting factor is the wallet. When that’s empty, you are really out of luck since no more chips or dip will be forthcoming.

I have to eat the dip bowl too 🙁

      I don’t like dip.

Problem solved; your move, overlarge portions.

I have a chimp with a large wooden spoon to crack me upside the noggin to help me limit my intake.

see for me, thankfully, I prefer things slightly aged. Chocolate I admit doesn’t always age well, when it starts turning white it tastes kinda funny, but when I was a kid I would just hoard it all anyway. I’ve still got stashes of halloween candy from decades ago somewhere around.

But today, the main things I like aged are cheetos and twizzlers. The flavour of the cheetos improves if they’ve been opened for a few days, as for the twizzlers, I prefer to let them sit until they’re so hard you have to suck on them to get them soft enough to chew (can take a few weeks).

Butterscotch candies that turn chewy on the outside with a slight crunchy center…
