#150 – Yelp

It’s amazing how one bad experience can destroy all the good will I had in a restaurant. I went to a local chinese food restaurant for 25 years. The best. All other chinese food was compared to it. Then one day my wife got food poisoning. Very undercooked chicken. Never went back.

You just get that mental block associated with it. Similar thing happened once with me. Ate something that didn’t agree with me while at the State Fair, and it kicked in later in the day, after I snacked on some chocolate-covered coffee beans. Ended up giving the beans away, just smelling them got me queasy. Finally got past it recently, about four years later.

    And there’s no atmosphere, either!

You know, the funny thing is, for a second there I thought I was reading Biff, and he was in the spacesuit. Then I realized that it was in black and white and at the wrong address.

When I linked to this strip o twitter I first typed “Today’s Biff is…” and realized I was picturing him in the suit.

Actually, the food wouldn’t seem so bad if the atmosphere weren’t so lacking.

Soggy & overcooked? How about the “freeze-dried” part too! Even the ice ccream!
