Chapter: Comic
Offices I have worked at have really varied about how they handle Halloween. It’s usually just a word of mouth thing and you really have to work there through multiple years to get a handle on it. It’s weird to show up in an elaborate costume and find out you are the only one.

I just go as myself. That’s usually creepy enough.
I don’t care if I’m the only one dressed up- any excuse to wear something more interesting than Standard Boring Office Clothes!!
Pirate when I worked at Marshalls. Gas station attendant when I worked at the college bookstore (we had a theme). Cowgirl to my office job. This time I work at Disneyland, so I’m technically already wearing a costume, and not allowed to wear any other ones.
Best. Costume. Ever. All I could take on the plane was a pair of cheap plastic ‘vampire’ dentures, in my shirt pocket. A little girl a few seats in front watched as I put them in and grinned at her; she grinned back, hip to the trick. Arrived in Huntsville, went for dinner, got a complete double-take reaction with ‘Good Eeevening! One, please!’ (I apologized later, and tipped well.)
If you don’t want to dress up as anything go as a psycho murderer. Psychos dress like everyone else.
