The thing that always surprises me the most when I get caught in a downpour is how heavy wet clothes are. It feels like it has soaked into my skin and my whole body has gained weight. If you were wearing a sweater, it’s now a dress.

What’s weird is, depending on your clothing, when you seem completely soaked, and reach into your pocket, and your paper money is still dry. Your underwear is a wading pool, but your cash for your afternoon bagel is fine.
But it can be really embarrassing if that downpour stops before you’re soaked, and it’s painfully obvious you were hoping it would do so.
