When I was a kid we had a little electric grill in the kitchen. I grew up having grilled hot dogs. When I got older I found that it was most common to boil them. This really freaked me out. “Do you boil your hamburgers as well?” I assumed they would taste like soggy hot water. They still tasted like hot dogs just milder.
