The “fun size” candy bars have been renamed “neighborhood size”. It’s actually a challenge to eat a varied diet when a family of four can fill up on a single M&M.

I’m a little confused. Does the shrink ray have a reverse setting? Or did they just shrink the hungry people?
That stumped me at first, too. I think your #2 guess is right, because it would otherwise be called an embiggen ray.
On the down side, notice that the food is vegetarian. I think humans are no longer at the top of the food chain.
On the other hand, spiders got so much scarier….
Then, they’d worry about how many humans they accidentally eat when they sleep.
