I’m sometimes confused. “Dog, why are you licking my pants right there? Oh yeah… I ate some potato chips earlier and must have wiped my hands there. Enjoy your salty denim.”

It’s all for laughs until your dog starts eating your clothes. Then you have to go out and buy new clothes. And a new dog.
My wife is a vet, one time she surgically removed 6 socks from the belly of a pug. Though to be fair I don’t expect the socks smelled at all like potato chips. Before or after. But she had to remove the socks, because the little doggie’s digestive system was all backed up. I guess you could say the pug was plugged.
Yes, the pug lived. No, the owner did not want the socks back.
One of my cats will do this too, but sometimes he licks things inexplicably. Last night, he was licking one specific spot on my bedsheet, but I had just put clean ones on, so there shouldn’t be anything there. Very strange kitty.
Something on the mattress underneath from “earlier”?
I had a dog who didn’t like it when we got him one of those “flavored” chew toys. Guess it didn’t make sense to him, someting you can’t eat, but still tastes like you could.
