Chapter: Comic
Sometimes life is crazy and I stay up really late trying to get something done. Nothing is more depressing in those situations than hearing the birds wake up and start to sing. I suddenly realize I have just ruined my next day.

Nooooo…
You got something done, AND now you’re in Today (still!)
Yesterday’s a memory, Tomorrow’s a fantasy;
there IS only Now, the Eternal Now!
It’s not all bad. Example:
Bird: “Heads up! Heads up! Gotta poop! Here it comes!”
*splat*
“Told ya!”
*fly away*
The birds around here sing at 1 and 2am. Party birds.
Dude COULD just turn it off…
Why invent a translator when you could just shove a Babel Fish in your ear?
Because Babel Fish don’t exist.
Neither do universal translators.
Universal translators don’t exist yet, they could be invented. Babel fish are just mythological nonsense creatures that don’t really exist, I suppose you could “invent” one with genetics research and all but it would probably take way more work than creating a mechanical device that does the same thing.
Or, Humanity realizes that birds had developed Gangsta Rap millions of years ago. And are really good at it.
