I remember when I was a kid during the summer there would occasionally be some person in a truck that would show up and pound different colored stakes into people’s yards. We loved to take them and put them back into the ground in a different pattern. Now that I’m older I realize they were marking the locations of underground utilities. Amazingly nobody ever blew up.

I remember those (and they still do it), and when I saw one for water I thought they’d found an underground water source they planned to dig for.
I never remember ever touching any, but I also didn’t realize until I was older about rules concerning landscaping to avoid blowing yourself up. XD
I oughta get some flags made up to mark locations for Pookas and Fygars, and see if the utility company gets it.
